BAFTA winner Adeel Akhtar (“Idiot Me As soon as”), Tracey Ullman (“The Tracey Ullman Present”), Finn Bennett (“True Detective: Night time Nation”) and Luther Ford (“The Crown”) have joined the solid of Netflix spy collection “Black Doves.”

The beforehand introduced solid contains Keira Knightley (“Boston Strangler”) Ben Whishaw (“Passages”), Sarah Lancashire (“Joyful Valley”), Andrew Buchan (“Carnival Row”), Andrew Koji (“Warrior”), Kathryn Hunter (“Andor”), Sam Troughton (“Chernobyl”), Ella Lily Hyland (“Fifteen Love”), Adam Silver (“The Diplomat”), Ken Nwosu (“Look the Different Manner and Run”), Gabrielle Creevy (“In My Pores and skin”) and Omari Douglas (“Rye Lane”).

The collection is written and created by “The Lazarus Challenge” showrunner Joe Barton. Set towards the backdrop of London at Christmas, “Black Doves” follows Helen Webb (Knightley), a quick-witted, right down to earth, devoted spouse and mom — {and professional} spy. For 10 years, she’s been passing on her politician husband’s secrets and techniques to the shadowy organisation she works for: the Black Doves. When her secret lover Jason (Koji) is assassinated, her spymaster, the enigmatic Reed (Lancashire), calls in Helen’s previous buddy Sam (Whishaw) to maintain her protected. Collectively, Helen and Sam set off on a mission to analyze who killed Jason and why, main them to uncover an enormous, interconnected conspiracy linking the murky London underworld to a looming geopolitical disaster.

“Black Doves” is produced by Barton’s Noisy Bear and Elizabeth Murdoch-founded Sister (“Chernobyl”) for Netflix. Barton govt produces for Noisy Bear alongside Jane Featherstone (“This Is Going To Damage”) and Chris Fry (“Giri/Haji”) for Sister and Knightley. The collection is directed by Alex Gabassi (“The Crown”) and Lisa Gunning (“The Energy”). Harry Munday (“Kaos”) is producing.
