New Zealand’s Black Mandala Movies has acquired the gross sales rights to “Play Useless,” a chilling new horror movie that kicks off with a lady waking up in a basement, surrounded by corpses, and combating for her life.

The grisly story of survival and deception is directed by Carlos ‘Charly’ Goitia (“Nightmare Radio: The Evening Stalker” and “The Sport of 100 Candles: The Final Possession”). The movie is produced by Nicolás Onetti, identified for movies equivalent to “1978” and What the Waters Left Behind,” with a screenplay penned by Gonzalo Mellid and Camilo Zaffora.

“Play Useless” follows the harrowing journey of Alison (portrayed by Paula Brasca), a lady who finds herself critically injured and trapped in a dim, cryptic basement. Determined to outlive, she should use her wits and fake to be lifeless so as to mix in with the corpses round her. As she desperately fights to remain alive, Alison uncovers a horrifying secret: a grotesque, ritualistic celebration is unfolding in the home above. With every passing second, the hazard intensifies.

The thriller attracts heavy inspiration from horror classics like “The Texas Chainsaw Bloodbath” and “Don’t Breathe,” combining relentless pressure with grotesque horror to create a very unforgettable expertise.
