Mike Milligan, an American TV author and producer whose credit embody “All within the Household” and “The Jeffersons,” has died. He was 77.

Milligan died of acute respiratory failure in his West Los Angeles dwelling on Dec. 20, in response to a PR consultant.

Milligan was a celebrated member of the Writers Guild of America for greater than 50 years.
