Dangerous Bunny‘s sixth studio album, “Debí Tirar Más Fotos” (“I Ought to Have Taken Extra Pictures”), arrived on Sunday morning. The 17-song document consists of música jíbara, or Puerto Rican folks, a staple of the island’s musical and cultural traditions.

In a press release shared with Selection, Dangerous Bunny referred to the document as a “dream” album, a mission he’s been conceptualizing for a few years.

“On the peak of my profession and recognition, I need to present the world who I’m, who Benito Antonio is, and who Puerto Rico is,” stated Dangerous Bunny. “Seeing it come to life has introduced me immense happiness. I’ve all the time been sincere with my followers, and thru this new manufacturing, they’ll proceed to study extra about me as I, too, uncover extra about myself.”

The document is produced by Dangerous Bunny’s frequent collaborators, La Paciencia, MAG and Tainy, together with Massive Jay and Saox. All the featured artists — Chuwi, Dei V, Omar Courtz, Pleneros de la Cresta, and RaiNao — are additionally Puerto Rican, together with younger musicians from the Escuela Libre de Música.

“This album is the results of the experiences which have led me to get to know myself higher, even attending to know the rhythms I get pleasure from most—those I really get pleasure from singing and creating,” Dangerous Bunny continued. “I’m Puerto Rican, I’m Caribbean, and my music, my tradition, my nation’s historical past run via my veins, from plena to reggaeton… The most effective is but to come back.”

The album was rolled out in collaboration with Google Maps and Spotify who labored collectively to launch coordinates throughout Puerto Rico for every track on the album’s tracklist to disclose their titles. The set contains the already launched songs, “El Clúb,” and “Pitorro de Coco,” alongside new titles like “Turista” (“Vacationer”) and “La Mudanza” (“The Transfer”).
