Ice Dice has reached a deal to jot down and star in a brand new “Friday” film for Warner Bros. and New Line Cinema. The brand new function, which is titled “Final Friday,” will mark the fourth entry within the comedy sequence — and the primary in over 20 years, following up “Friday After Subsequent” in 2002.

New Line president and CCO Richard Brener shared {that a} deal had been reached with Ice Dice to develop “Final Friday” in an interview with The Hollywood Reporter. Selection has confirmed the settlement.

Ice Dice has been open about his plans to make one other “Friday” film, although his settlement to star and direct marks a major improvement within the undertaking. In June 2024, the rapper and actor shared that there was “traction” for “Final Friday” at Warner Bros. and its studio chiefs Michael De Luca and Pamela Abdy, talking with Taste Flav on his SiriusXM present “Taste of the Week.” De Luca and Abdy took over the studio’s movie division in 2022.

“They’ve new management. My man Mike De Luca, who was once at New Line after I first began, after I first did the primary ‘Friday’ and ‘Gamers Membership’ and ‘All Concerning the Benjamins.’ Mike De Luca was there,” Ice Dice mentioned on the time.
