Academy Establishes New Companions for Nicholl Fellowships in Screenwriting Program
The Nicholl Fellowships in Screenwriting program hosted by the Academy of Movement Image Arts and Sciences has established new unique partnerships with worldwide universities and movie organizations for choosing fellows.
The companions — which embody American Movie Institute, Toronto Worldwide Movie Competition and Universidad del Cine — will look via scripts and ship them to the Academy to be thought of for the fellowship. Public submissions will undergo the Black Checklist. Companions can start submitting scripts for this system beginning in late July and ending in late August. The fellows are chosen by spring 2026.
